This much-loved post-war home had simply run out of room for the family living in it. Working alongside LifeBox, we extended across two levels to the rear, making the most of the block and the existing pool.
Downstairs, building in under the house created an entirely new level of family living — a rumpus room with its own bar area, a full bathroom, a functional laundry, and an alfresco space that opens straight out to the pool.
Upstairs, we extended to add a walk-in robe and a large living room, both finished with high raked ceilings that lift the whole space. Sliding doors open onto a big, beautiful covered deck with a raked ceiling of its own, looking back over the yard and pool below.
The result is a home that has grown with the family, without losing the character that drew them to it in the first place.
